Following your registration, you study the course materials online and then answer open-book multiple-choice quiz questions. There is no need to attend a boring class, listen to long lectures or watch repetitive videos. Study at your leisure, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Department of Insurance will consider the satisfactory completion of a Delaware Online Defensive Driving course (approved by the Delaware Department of Insurance) as a three (3) point credit when determining driver penalties. This credit is at the discretion of the Division and may vary from case to case.

For insurance reduction, drivers receive 10% off their liability and personal injury insurance the first time they take the program (a six hour course). You may take a "refresher course" (a three hour course) to increase your insurance discount to 15%. This course will not only help make you a safer driver, but will help your driving record and your wallet too!

When you register, you choose your own username and password to gain access to the program immediately.

The course is divided into numerous sections. Once you have read through the course materials and answered the quiz questions, you will then need to pass the final exam. You will know immediately whether you have passed and you can retake the final exam as many times as needed at no additional cost.

You will have multiple chances to pass the final exam, if needed. The tuition includes the entire program and your completion certificate. If you do not pass, you will be able to retake the final exam immediately as many times as needed at no additional charge.

We created our program to be as convenient as possible for the student. It is designed as an alternative to a classroom program, and you may work at your own pace. You may participate in the program in one sitting or use your username and password to log in as often as you need to complete the reading in increments, according to your own schedule. You may even print out the quiz questions first and answer them in writing as you read through the curriculum. The goal is for you to comprehend and absorb the materials.

Please ensure to submit your answers within three to four (3-4) days before your completion due date so we can deliver the certificate to you on time. If the certificate must be rushed, we can complete your certificate within a couple hours notice, if necessary!
